As a Meat Plant Supervisor at Spring Creek Quail Farms in Saint Anns, ON, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the operational effectiveness and growth of the meat processing facility. You will be responsible for overseeing daily plant operations, maintaining product quality and safety, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This position is central to driving continuous improvement and supporting a collaborative, high-performing team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing daily meat processing operations to ensure product quality, safety, and compliance with company and regulatory standards

  • Supervising and coordinating processing line activities, including preparation, cutting, portioning, and packaging, while optimizing throughput and minimizing waste

  • Monitoring and enforcing food safety and HACCP protocols, sanitation schedules, and allergen controls; leading corrective actions and maintaining accurate records

  • Managing workforce shifts, assigning tasks, training staff on equipment, workflow, and safety procedures, and monitoring performance metrics

  • Collaborating with maintenance and QA teams to ensure equipment reliability, conducting regular line checks, and implementing process improvements for efficiency and yield

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • Supervise daily meat processing operations, including slaughter, evisceration, chilling, packaging, and sanitation activities. 

  • Lead, train, and coach meat plant personnel to meet productivity, quality, and safety expectations. 

  • Ensure compliance with OMAFA regulations, HACCP plans, food safety programs, and company SOPs. 

  • Coordinate daily production schedules to meet sales and inventory requirements. 

  • Monitor yields, labor efficiency, downtime, and waste; take corrective action as required. 

  • Conduct pre-operational checks and ensure sanitation effectiveness. 

  • Enforce workplace health and safety standards and safe work procedures. 

  • Collaborate with Food Safety, Maintenance, and Live Production teams to address operational issues. 

  • Complete required production records, deviations, and corrective action documentation. 

  • Support onboarding and ongoing training of new employees. 

  • Participate in continuous improvement, audits, and operational reviews

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Compensation expectations within CAD $21–$25 per hour

  • Experience coordinating with maintenance and QA teams to support equipment reliability and line performance
